Personality In Organizations (Blog Post 1)
Personality In Organizations
One thing that has become apparent to me whilst debunking organizations and entrepreneurship, is how important personality is to organizations and marketing in general. Think about it, our personalities make us who we are and influence how we go about in this world as well as sometimes adopting other people's personality attributes.
When it comes to marketing, your personality is everything. Let me set the scenario for you. A marketing company have to create a TV advertisement for a company and the specific people in that group in charge of designing the TV advert will all mesh their ideas (which came from their personality) together to come up with a high quality and successful marketing advert. When we talk about your personality and how it is vital to an organization, we don't just mean how your creative abilities or personal skills contribute to your work and organization, but how you learn and have the willing to learn. Whether you are willing to learn is tied up and joined with your personality. You don't need Einstein to tell you that if your personality is more laidback and even borderline lazy, then you are going to lack the willingness to learn and want to grow your skill set. This will also affect how you perform in an organization. You are more likely to not perform at your best if your personality is laid back and lazy and you won't be active in teamwork or contributing ideas. However, if you have a motivated and hardworking personality then you will always have this constant to learn and improve and thus this contributes to the organization's success.

This is so true because personality is everything these days. If you have the right personality and attitude, doors will open for you. You don’t need to be a celebrity to be famous. You can just use the social media platforms to market yourself and gain followers. This will in turn make big companies and brands aware of you and hire you as their social media representative. For so many people, there is no need for a traditional way of earning a living, instead they become influencers which will bring them immediate fame and many lucrative deals.
ReplyDeleteI agree with every word and this has been well said. You need the right attitude and mentality in this world and anyone that has the desire, determination and dedication can achieve their goal. You do not need to be a celebrity. What you put in is what you get out.
